Hey friend! 👋 I'm Ashley, The Health Coach for Nurses! After spending years at the bedside as an RN, from nightshift in the ICU to on-call shifts in the Cath Lab, I noticed a pattern - the nurses I was working alongside were so busy taking care of everyone else that their own health was rapidly circling the drain.
↪️ And it’s no wonder - as nurses, we wear a million hats, juggle too many tasks, and care for the most vulnerable populations. Plus nursing culture has taught us that “great” nurses put themselves last, and go 12 hours without peeing, eating, or taking a break. It’s time to change the story.
As soon as I entered nursing school, I was repeatedly told that it was “impossible” to be healthy as a nurse. So I tried every single program, diet, and workout plan I could get my hands on, but nothing seemed to stick for the long term. Every program would require hours of meal prepping, constant weighing and measuring, long gym sessions, and 20 step routines. 🙄 And my coaches just didn’t seem to understand my schedule, what it felt like to work 12+ hour shifts, or the stress that came from my profession.
I set out to become what I could not find. Between shifts in the Cath Lab, I studied nutrition, functional training, and behavior change, eventually becoming certified as an integrative health coach and personal trainer soon after. In 2023, I left the hospital, and launched this business. 🎉
Since then, I have helped almost 100 nurses and counting 👀 to build systems that fit into their lives and reach their goals without burning out in the process. My vision is that every nurse out there can embrace the “yes, AND.” They can build a career they love, AND have enough energy to build a life they love. They can be a great nurse, AND be healthy.
